ABP parent company Primetals Technologies is supplying an Arvedi ESP line for the production of continuous strip to United States Steel Corporation (U. S. Steel) for the Edgar Thomson steel mill at its Braddock, Pennsylvania, production site. This is the very first ESP line to be built in the USA. The casting-rolling mill has a nominal capacity of 2.5 million t of high-quality ultra-thin strips. With a maximum rolling strip width of 1956 mm, it will be the widest ESP line that has ever been built. ABP Induction supplies a transverse field heating system as the core element of the ESP technology.

Anhui Anhuang Machinery Co., Ltd. mit Sitz in Anqing, in der chinesischen Provinz Anhui, hat die SMS group mit der Lieferung einer vollautomatischen Gesenkschmiedelinie für Kolben beauftragt. Die 2.500-t-Schmiedelinie besteht aus einer vollautomatischen Exzenter-Gesenkschmiedepresse der Bauart MP 2500 sowie einer Induktionserwärmung Elo-Forge L der SMS Elotherm, einem Unternehmen der SMS, zur Erwärmung der Schmiederohlinge. Die Inbetriebnahme ist für das zweite Quartal 2022 geplant.

Anhui Anhuang Machinery Co., Ltd., based in Anqing in the Chinese province of Anhui, has placed an order with SMS group for a fully automatic closed-die forging line for pistons. The 2,500-t forging line to be delivered consists of a fully automatic eccentric closed-die forging press of type MP 2500 and an Elo-Forge L induction heating system from SMS Elotherm, an SMS company, for heating the forging blanks. Commissioning is scheduled for second quarter of 2022.
