EFD Induction has announced its acquisition of Superior Technologies Europe (STE) a leading supplier of impeders, coils and related equipment to tube and pipe manufacturers in Europe. STE is located in Basingstoke in the UK and stocks a comprehensive range of ferrite cores impeders, induction coils and OD/ID scarfing inserts.

Ltd.), selected ABP Induction Systems GmbH, a pioneer in induction technology, to implement high performance induction furnaces in their existing steel plant in Taiyuan, China. Phase 2 of the project has been successfully implemented and all 6 furnace systems are installed and commissioned by now. The induction furnace systems represent the highest powered induction furnaces (42 MW) manufactured with medium frequency converter technology operating in the world today.

Hierfür wurden Systeme und Prozesse eingerichtet, die fortan sämtliche betriebsrelevante Energieströme erfassen und somit eine kontinuierliche Verbesserung der Energieeffizienz ermöglichen.
Die Firma Datapaq hat den TB9840D-Kühlkörper zum Einsatz in Wärmeprozessen mit starker mechanischer Belastung vorgestellt, wie z. B. bei der Stickstoff- und Heliumabschreckung. Der Kühlkörper wird standardmäßig mit TB4500- und TB4600-Hitzeschutzbehältern von Datapaq und in Vakuum- oder Abschreckanwendungen auch mit TB4000-Modellen eingesetzt. Er widersteht Druckbelastungen bis 20 bar.

Zum 1. Januar 2015 schließen sich die Carbolite GmbH, deutsche Vertriebsgesellschaft des britischen Unternehmens Carbolite Ltd., und die Gero Hochtemperaturöfen GmbH & Co. KG zur Carbolite-Gero GmbH & Co. KG zusammen. Das gemeinsame Unternehmen verfügt dann über ein Produktprogramm von Öfen und Wärmeschränken, welches einen Temperaturbereich von 30 bis 3.000 °C abdeckt.
Chinese Handan Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd. has placed an order with Siemens Metals Technologies to modernize the process automation system of the hot rolling mill at its Handan factory. The new automation system will be set up in parallel with the existing one and can be commissioned by a simple changeover during operation. There is no need for additional plant downtime. Modernization is scheduled for completion at the start of 2016.
CSI Tubular Products, Inc. (CSITP), eine Gesellschaft im Mehrheitsbesitz der California Steel Industries, Inc. (CSI) aus Fontana, Kalifornien, USA, hat eine von SMS Meer gelieferte 24-Zoll-Hochfrequenz-Rohrschweißlinie erfolgreich in Betrieb genommen. Die Produktionsgeschwindigkeit der Anlage liegt bei bis zu 35 Metern pro Minute und kann jährlich bis zu 400.000 Tonnen Rohre produzieren. SMS Elotherm lieferte die erforderliche induktive HF-Schweiß- und Nahtglüh-Wärmetechnik.
