About Steelwind Nordenham GmbH
Steelwind Nordenham GmbH, a company of the Dillinger Group, has been manufacturing monopiles, transition pieces and “single-piece” monopile foundations with unit weights of up to 2,400 tons in Nordenham since 2014. The single-piece monopile replaces the previous design with separate monopile and transition piece by integrating certain parts of the transition pieces into the monopile. The length of a monopile can then be up to 120 meters. The steel for the foundations comes from the Saarland region of Germany from Dillinger, heavy plate manufacturer in Europe. SWN currently employs 275 people.
