07.06.2021. Salzgitter Mannesmann Stahlhandel GmbH is consistently pursuing its digitalisation strategy. Therefore, the corporate homepage and the e-SHOP’s website are now combined into a joint web presence at: https://www.salzgitter-mannesmann-stahlhandel.de/en/. The website is enabling the Trading Business Unit to strengthen its digital presence in the stockholding steel trade.
Jan Nowak, member of Salzgitter Mannesmann Stahlhandel GmbH’s management: “The full integration of a web shop into the corporate website, as is widely common in B2C business, has so far not been offered in this form by industry participants in steel trading. The new web presence therefore allows our customers much swifter and more structured access to product information and order options that now seamlessly dovetail on the joint platform. Following a single-click login, customers can switch directly from product descriptions in the shop to the order process, or vice versa, from the website to the product information which they require for components and structures.”
User friendliness
At the same time, the web designers also infused the visuals and the overall system of the new online platform with a fresh and modern touch. The platform now features its own clear-cut design, with the key emphasis placed on user friendliness. In an age of mobile working, the concise overview across devices is vastly improved.
The website can therefore be easily accessed and impresses with an appealing, readily legible layout on any device. In addition, security relevant updates were installed.
Customers already using the e-SHOP can also view the inventory on the new web presence and have the order data directly incorporated into their own systems via digital interfaces offered as an add-on to the online shop.
