24.06.2021. The Chinese special steel producer Nanjing Iron & Steel Co Ltd. (NISCO) grants to Friedrich Kocks GmbH & Co KG, the FAC (Final Acceptance Certificate) for the successful commissioning of the 3-roll Reducing & Sizing Block (RSB®) 500++/4 in 5.0 design.

The 3-roll RSB 500++ is the answer to the expanding and demanding market for medium and large size SBQ products. It operates at Nisco’s 800,000 t/a medium bar mill as the finishing unit for the production of straight bars within a dimensional range from Ø 50.0 to 160.0 mm.

Apart from the RSB 5.0, Kocks was responsible for the thermomechanical rolling process including five water boxes and full automation package. The low temperature rolling process is applied for sizes up to Ø 130 mm.

Beside the RSB 500++/4, Nisco is also operating successful a RSB 370++/4 in the small bar mill since 2013.
