The Linde Group has been awarded a long-term contract to supply Vietnamese steel company POSCO SS-Vina (PSSV) with industrial gases. The deal will see Linde construct the country’s largest air separation unit (ASU) at the Phu My industrial park in Ba Ria (Vung Tau province). The new state-of-the-art ASU will be able to produce 35,000 normal m3 of air gases per hour and is set to go on stream in 2014. It will supply the new steelworks that PSSV is currently building in Phu My with gaseous oxygen, nitrogen and argon. It will also manufacture products for the regional market in southern Vietnam.
