Linamar Gear adds additional manufacturing capacity

Canadian auto parts supplier Linamar Gear located in Guelph, Ontario has expanded their manufacturing capacity with the addition of a new AFC-Holcroft UBQ (“Universal Batch Quench”) batch furnace facility. This order represents the 26th and 27th UBQ furnace at this site, making it one of the largest batch integral quench installations in the world.

Canadian auto parts supplier Linamar Gear located in Guelph, Ontario has expanded their manufacturing capacity with the addition of a new AFC-Holcroft UBQ (“Universal Batch Quench”) batch furnace facility. This order represents the 26th and 27th UBQ furnace at this site, making it one of the largest batch integral quench installations in the world.

The newest batch heat treatment facility consists of two gas-fired UBQ Universal Batch Quench furnaces sized 36-48-36 with top cool, along with two UBT Universal Batch Temper furnaces, all served by a new spray/dunk washer and transfer car.

Installation of the batch facility is planned for the 2nd quarter of 2015.
