The plant consists of a total of twelve batch-type furnaces. Furthermore the order includes an automatic charger, the control centre, a process control system, as well as the necessary peripheral equipment.
The new batch-type furnace facility is a major part of the AMAG 2020 investment program. Within the scope of this project, AMAG is to build Europe’s most modern aluminium rolling mill at Ranshofen, Austria. AMAG will use an investment volume of over € 300 million for constructing a cold-rolling mill and upgrading equipment at the Ranshofen location. The new plant will double the production capacity to over 300,000 tons per year.
AMAG Rolling is part of the AMAG Austria Metall AG headquartered in Ranshofen, Austria. The company is a manufacturer of high quality, rolled aluminium products, which it supplies to the automotive and aerospace industries, among others.
