ADC (approx. 20 employees) will join the Heavy Plate business unit of ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe and in the future will operate under the name ThyssenKrupp Steel Heavy Plate Antwerp. Previously the service centre was mainly owned by a variety of investment companies in Belgium and the Netherlands.
“The acquisition and operation of its own high-performance hot strip cut-to-length line will enable the Heavy Plate business unit to extend its product range to include much more attractive products in the premium sheet segment,” said Dr. Heribert Fischer, Board member responsible for Sales and Innovation at ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe, on the acquisition of ADC.
