Process optimization is enabled by using a thermal imaging system which allows measurement of a broad temperature distribution of the object through camera resolution of 640 by 480 pixels. This results in a high measurement certainty (0.5 % of measured value). Detailed data analysis, process monitoring and control are also available, using the LumaSpecTM thermal imaging process software.
The use of pyrometers allows precise and accurate monitoring of process temperatures at a single point. For this task short wavelength detectors, for high accuracy on metal products, permit measurement even of very fast heating processes. Finally programmable controllers assist in delivering the necessary process control by facilitating to maintain the required working temperatures through the hardening process. This provides high repeatability and process stability through online process control and enables reaction to each process variation.
