02.06.2021. Marcella Montelatici has been the Managing Director for Sales and Services in the Machine Tool Business Division of the high-tech company Trumpf since 1 April 2021. She also manages the Trumpf Group’s European subsidiaries.

New position

Montelatici succeeds Reinhold Groß, who had held the position since 2014. As Managing Director for Sales and Services, she is responsible for the sale of machines, services, software, digitisation solutions and consulting on all aspects of networked manufacturing. For Montelatici, customer satisfaction is paramount.

“The success of our customers is a top priority at Trumpf. We support and accompany them in their development and, together with them, find the right solution – whether it’s a fully automated system, a digital upgrade of production or a classic stand-alone machine,” she says.

Trumpf demonstrates the technologies necessary for modern sheet metal production to its customers among others in the Smart Factory, which the company opened at its headquarters in Ditzingen in October 2020.

Career

Marcella Montelatici has been working at Trumpf for 30 years. After studying linguistics and literature, she began her career with the high-tech company in 1990 as a management assistant at the Buccinasco site in Italy. After taking over the management of the CAD/CAM department there in 1995 and the service department in 1997, she was additionally responsible for the finance and HR departments as Deputy Managing Director from 2002. In 2012, she became Managing Director of Trumpf in Italy.
