After almost 28 years of working in various top management positions in the thyssenkrupp Group, most recently as a board member of thyssenkrupp AG since October 2019, Dr. Klaus Keysberg decided not to be available for an extension of his contract, which runs until July 31, 2024, and thus until he turns 60.

Against this background, the Human Resources Committee of the Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp AG has started the usual search process in order to be able to propose a successor solution to the Supervisory Board as quickly as possible.

Professor Siegfried Russwurm, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp AG: “We respect the decision by Dr. Klaus Keysberg, even if we regret his departure. I would like to thank Dr. Klaus Keysberg for his many years of commitment to the company in a wide variety of functions. I would especially like to thank him for his commitment as a member of the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp AG over the past four years. During this time, Klaus Keysberg has closely accompanied the company’s comprehensive change process wisely and with great care, thereby making a significant contribution to the progress achieved so far in thyssenkrupp’s transformation.”
