Before joining Aleris – a global leader in aluminum rolled products –, Baan was the Executive Vice President and CEO of Mittal Steel Europe and subsequently Executive Vice President and a member of the Management Committee of the combined Arcelor Mittal Group. Prior to that, he held global senior management positions at Shell International and SHV.
