Generation change at ABP Induction

Dr. Wolfgang Andree, President of ABP Induction, LLC and Managing Director of ABP Induction Systems GmbH has stepped back from his position effective April 15, 2015. Till Schreiter (photo), an international executive with over twenty years of experience in the electrical and metallurgical industries, will succeed Dr. Andree.

Dr. Wolfgang Andree, President of ABP Induction, LLC and Managing Director of ABP Induction Systems GmbH has stepped back from his position effective April 15, 2015. Till Schreiter, an international executive with over twenty years of experience in the electrical and metallurgical industries, will be his successor. Dr. Andree will continue to be actively involved through a transition period, he remains a member of the board of directors and will remain as an advisor to ABP through 2016.
“After more than 24 years with the company and 16 years as Managing Director, it is time to pass the torch to the next generation and enjoy the many other challenges that life has to offer. I am proud of our accomplishments and look forward to working with Till, the board and the management team to ensure a smooth transition and a successful future for ABP,” said Andree.
Till A. Schreiter joins ABP with over twenty years of experience in the electrical and metallurgical industries. Most recently a director with Atreus Interim Management, Till was a member of the management team of ABB AG where he served as Managing Director and head of the discrete automation and motion division in Germany and leader of strategic accounts. Previously, he was with SMS Demag where he was the managing director of SMS Demag South Africa, General Manager of the global electric steel mill business and Director of iron and steelmaking for North and Central America located in the USA. Mr. Schreiter began his career with MAN GHH where he started as an electrical engineer installing and commissioning arc furnaces. Mr. Schreiter has a degree in electrical engineering from the RWTH in Aachen.

Swegon advances air handling units with recycled steel

Swegon is advancing a more resource-efficient and circular construction industry with the launch of the next-generation GOLD air handling unit, generation G. Designed to meet rising HVAC and building-sector demands, over 70% of the total steel weight is now represented by recycled steel and almost 60% of the total material weight is recycled material. As a result, the new unit – significantly reduces its embodied carbon while maintaining the performance and reliability expected of a GOLD unit.
