Changes on the Managing Board of SMS group

Harald Rackel, currently Head of Digitalization at SMS group GmbH, is leaving this post on 31 March 2018 and, as from 1 April 2018, will join the Managing Board of elexis AG, a subsidiary in the SMS group. Dr.-Ing. Katja Windt has been appointed Managing Director of SMS group GmbH as from 1 April. As a member of the Managing Board, she will be responsible for the Digital Solutions and Electrical and Automation Systems Divisions.

Harald Rackel, currently Head of Digitalization at SMS group GmbH, is leaving this post on 31 March 2018 and, as from 1 April 2018, will join the Managing Board of elexis AG, a subsidiary in the SMS group. Dr.-Ing. Katja Windt has been appointed Managing Director of SMS group GmbH as from 1 April. As a member of the Managing Board, she will be responsible for the Digital Solutions and Electrical and Automation Systems Divisions.
On 1 July 2018, Harald Rackel will take over the position of CEO from Siegfried Koepp, who is due to retire on 30 June. To take on her new post, the Doctor of Engineering, Dr.-Ing. Katja Windt, specializing in Production Technology is leaving Jacobs University Bremen. She has been President of the University for several years. Over more than ten years in this function, she has, among other things, successfully implemented digitalization and logistics projects for customers in the steel industry. (Source: SMS group)
