Stemmler previously held international financial positions for the Royal Dutch Shell Group and the Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company, among others. The business administration graduate has more than 20 years of industry experience in the energy and raw materials sectors.

At the same time, he thanked the outgoing Chief Financial Officer: “Martin Söffge has played a key role in ensuring that Trimet is well-positioned with a solid foundation for the future.” Martin Söffge has held the position of Chief Financial Officer on the Executive Board of Trimet Aluminium SE since 2009. The 60-year-old plans to devote more time to his private interests in the future.
