This is SECO/WARWICK’s second collaboration with a global supplier of metal injection moulded products.
Furnaces for the most demanding applications
This partner has purchased a new Vector vacuum furnace to process new aerospace components. The solution will increase the capacity to provide hardening process services while meeting all the aerospace standards required by the industry. Material heating processes require high purity, so the furnace uses an additional argon-hydrogen partial pressure system. The furnace provides a high level of heating – 1200˚ C. In addition, the partner required very short cooling times, which are achieved using a 6 bar abs gas blower.

The furnace allows efficient and clean processes to be carried out at very good vacuum levels in the medium and high range, thanks to the use of a very good pumping system. The graphite chamber, easy to use and maintain, is resistant to rapid wear, ensuring long and reliable use.
The solution ordered includes key features such as the use of three process gases: Argon, Nitrogen and Hydrogen; an efficient and ergonomic high vacuum pumping system based on a mechanical pump, a Roots pump and a diffusion pump; and a temperature control system for the housing water cooling and the internal heat exchanger, the purpose of which is to limit the condensation of water from the environment during loading and unloading of the furnace. This last modification limits the oxidation of the treated load surface and the degradation of the internal elements of the furnace heating chamber, which is particularly recommended in countries with high humidity and high temperatures in the hall.
Injection molded parts require the best solutions
This partner is one of the largest suppliers of metal injection moulding technology, with manufacturing capabilities that include vertical integration of finishing technologies such as nickel and trivalent chrome plating, vacuum heat treatment and seal hardening, as well as precision grinding and CNC machining to micron tolerances. The company also offers plastic injection and moulding.
SECO/WARWICK conquers the Indian market
The official opening of the new SECO/WARWICK production hall in India took place last year. The dynamic development of the Indian company attracts more and more regional customers. SECO/WARWICK in India is ready to produce vacuum solutions and will thus meet the demand for these furnaces in this part of the world. Ultimately, the company will be able to produce as many as 23 such furnaces in one cycle.
