Borusan, one of Turkey’s leading conglomerates, has increased its 77 per cent stake in Borusan Mannesmann Boru Yatırım Holding A.Ş. to 100 per cent, parting ways with Salzgitter Mannesmann GmbH after 25 years of partnership. With the completion of the share transfer transaction, which will not lead to any changes in the company’s structure and management, the company that has witnessed the development of Turkish industry and transformed itself from a Turkish manufacturer into a global manufacturer has a new name. From now on, the company will produce in 11 plants on three continents and deliver its products all over the world under the name of Borusan Boru in Turkey and Borusan Pipe in the international arena, and will continue to grow in the international arena with its strategy of becoming a local player in global markets as well as its investments in Turkey. With its Romanian plant, which will start production in 2024, the company will strengthen its claim in automotive tubes, the European market leader. The new pipe production line, which will serve the construction, general industry and energy sectors in the US market, will be operational in the coming months.
