YETEN Combustion expands burner testing facilities

YETEN Combustion adds another testing furnace to test lower capacity burners. It is suitable for direct heating up to 500 kW and indirect heating up to 300 kW with various radiant tubes. With this new facility, the company will continue its studies about improving burners and reducing NOx emissions.

YETEN Combustion & Energy Technologies is a family owned middle sized company in Istanbul, Turkey and provides complete solutions for the needs of industry in combustion and heating processes since 1987 with even more efficient, more reliable and more eco-friendly solutions.
Reseach and development in YETEN Combustion starts with design of the burner, continues with CFD analyses and optimizations. Finally, the product is tested in one of the test furnaces. A.T. Burner Test Furnace can be used to test burners up to 1,500 kW and to investigate flameless, multi staged, oxygen enriched and indirect combustion. With its length of 5,3 m, 1,500 °C can be achieved in the furnace. The recently introduced H.T. Burner Test Furnace is designed to test low capacity burners. It is suitable for direct heating up to 500 kW and indirect heating up to 300 kW with various radiant tubes. Maximum temperature is 1,100 °C. Thus, all products can be tested before handling to the customer.
YETEN’s early products which are still used widely are NHG Burners with a classical single stage combustion with capacities ranging from 400 to 13,500 kW. With the robust design these burners are suitable for extreme working conditions. Natural Gas, LPG, COG and Fuel Oil can be used as fuel.
On the other hand, the Mildflame Low NOx – Oxygen Enriched Burners have superior specifications including two stage operation, mildflame flameless operation, both with and without oxygen enrichment. Capacities range from 550 to 4,000 kW. Combustion air up to 500 °C can be used. The attained temperature uniformity improves furnace efficiency, reduces scale and dross formation. Furthermore, with the low flame temperature the NOx emissions drop to 60 ppm.
MSB Multi Staged Burners with 1:50 turndown ratio and flame velocities from 90 to 200 m/s operate with low NOx emissions. Combustion air up to 600 °C can be used. Metal alloy, SiC or refractory flame tubes can be used depending on the working temperatures. These burners can both operate at very low fuel air ratio (λ = 0.7) as well as at very rich mixtures (λ = 40). Capacities range from 50 to 5,000 kW.
YETEN Combustion serves customers from ceramic, iron and steel, aluminium, glass industries from all over the world. Regarding the demands of the customers, the company has recently begun with research on the development of packaged burners and flat flame burners.
