The scope of supply and services includes engineering and delivery of a new chemical processing section, major modifications to the mechanical equipment (e. g. welding machine), new rotary roller stands for the furnace, as well as the electrical equipment, dismantling of existing parts of the plant, and commissioning of the upgraded line.
With modernization of line #3, Acerinox’s target is to reach the quality level of its new cold strip processing line #5, which was also supplied by Andritz and is currently in the commissioning phase. 
This order once again confirms the extensive business relationship between Andritz and the Acerinox Group. Acerinox is a Spanish steel company specialized in the production of stainless steel. It is one of the largest stainless steel flat product producers in the world.
