The new, five-strand 12-m radius caster, designed to cast 240-mm squares and 210- and 400-mm rounds in SBQ grades, will make use of Danieli Q-EMS technology to ensure top quality blooms on all grades. Through the Liquid Pool Control (LPC) system supplied by Danieli Automation along with the process control system, the caster will be able to automatically position the final stirrer along the radius, while regulating current/frequency for the highest internal quality.
