The gas-fired facility comprises two workbases with state-of-the-art technology, allowing most of the operating sequence to be carried out automatically. It also incorporates a new process control system. The workbases are designed to have a clear inside diameter of 4,200 mm and to accept charges up to 65 t.
Waste heat in the exhaust gas produced by the heating bells at the Claas works will be recirculated, and used at the existing pickling unit. The technology for this system will also be supplied by Ebner.
The new wire annealing facility will start production in April 2017. It will be the fifth facility that Ebner has supplied to the family-owned company in Altena and its subsidiary, Hermann Klincke J. H. Sohn.
