The master agreement signed by Alexander Wilden, CEO and proprietor of the globally active schwartz Group of Simmerath, Germany, and Huabiao Ye, CEO and proprietor of the Chinese automotive industry supplier Yifeng, has a value equivalent to almost € 30 million and covers 22 heat treatment systems for press-hardening structural auto body parts. The Yifeng Group of China and the schwartz Group have been collaborating very successfully and closely for more than five years.
In all, six local Chinese government representatives had come to Germany, signaling commitment to a strengthening of German-Chinese business relations. Thomas Rachel, the Parliamentary State Secretary for Research, was able to report on intense cooperation activities between China and Germany in the fields of science and research.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Thomas Rachel (CDU), Member of the Bundestag for Düren. Thomas Rachel (MdB) praised the cooperation of the two companies, emphasizing his great pleasure to welcome the delegation in Germany’s lower house of parliament. “This is a strong signal of a positive business development in the Aachen region, attesting to the fact that our companies are well positioned internationally”, Thomas Rachel (MdB) said. After the ceremony, Thomas Rachel (MdB) took the guests from business and politics on a personal guided tour of the German Bundestag.
The heat treatment systems to be sourced from the schwartz Group will serve to make passenger car body components providing significantly increased occupant safety in the event of a collision while also reducing automotive fuel consumption due to their lower weight.
