Last Friday, on 16.06.2023, the GMTN in Düsseldorf came to an end and the exhibitors look back with satisfaction. From 114 countries 63,300 visitors came to Düsseldorf. Numerous contracts were concluded and investments were planned. The dominant theme was green transformation.
Successful course of the GMTN
Despite difficult economic conditions, a large number of investments were made and spontaneous deals were concluded at the fair. There was a dynamic atmosphere on the exhibition grounds, and 78 percent of visitors were planning specific investments in the next two years. The internationally oriented events GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST attracted both, exhibitors and visitors, from numerous countries. The trade fair offered a good opportunity for direct contacts and exchange with industry representatives.
This was also confirmed by Bernd Jablonowski, Executive Director at Messe Düsseldorf. His summary: “Especially in times of sustainable change, it is more important than ever to show the flag here in Düsseldorf and to be in direct exchange with the players in the industries in order to demonstrate strength in a trend-setting market environment. GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST, with their international appeal and a high level of quality on the part of the trade audience, offered the best opportunities for this.”
GMTN: ecoMetals TV presents highlights of the show in digital format
During the fair, not only many lectures and expert panels took place on the stages. In addition, interviews with important industry representatives were also presented via ecoMetals TV. These were conducted on all days of the fair and distributed via digital live streams to give the trends and developments a wider reach.
Content focus: sustainability, digitalization and new production technologies
Under the motto “The Bright World of Metals” the show was dominated by four key themes: sustainability, digitalization, circular economy and new production technologies. These focal points were clearly visible in the exhibition halls as well as in the accompanying supporting program. Conferences and various ecoMetals formats offered additional opportunities to engage with these topics.
