Industry expectations are high: Exhibitor bookings for ALUMINIUM 2026 have long reached near-capacity, building on the proven success of previous editions that have consistently grown in both scale and impact.
The 2024 ALUMINIUM connected more than 800 exhibitors with 20,000+ trade visitors from 100 nations, with 73% of attendees holding decision-making authority.
“We are seeing exceptionally strong commitment from industry leaders across the entire value chain. The likes of Alcoa, AMAG, Elval, Emirates Global Aluminium, Norsk Hydro, Novelis, Rio Tinto, Speira, and Trimet are just some of the names on the 2026 show floor,” explains Patrick Herman, the new Event Director. “We are excited to host the entire aluminium value chain – from mining and primary production through melting, casting and heat treatment to finishing and energy-efficient recycling.”
This Year’s Central Theme: Sustainability
Sustainability is the common thread running through ALUMINIUM 2026 – from decarbonised production and advanced recycling to lightweight material applications. Building on its 2024 success, the “Speakers Corner” has been expanded into a full Sustainability & Recycling Conference, delivering expert insights on circular economy and greener production. Complementing the conference is the Sustainability & Recycling Plaza, a dedicated exhibition zone for sustainability solutions.
Inspiring Change and Innovation
ALUMINIUM 2026 doubles down with two dedicated award events: The new Innovation Awards recognise breakthrough technologies driving the sector forward. They complement the Women with Metal Awards, which made a powerful debut in 2024.
Hall 7a: Space for Strategic Growth
Hall 7a opens as a dedicated space for semi-finished products – a segment of growing strategic importance. It will also host the popular ALUMINIUM Conference, a three-day programme delivering expert sessions, case studies, and strategic panel debates.
Focused Aluminium Touchpoints for Specialists
ALUMINIUM 2026 continues its successful themed pavilions, each offering dedicated space for focused innovation and networking: The Foundry Pavilion provides a platform for foundries, furnace builders, and heat treatment specialists; the Primary Pavilion showcases the latest equipment and technology in primary aluminium production; and the Surface Pavilion presents surface treatment and rolling technology.
ALUMINIUM 2026 runs from 6–8 October at Exhibition Centre Düsseldorf, Germany. Taking place every two years, it is the world’s leading trade fair for the aluminium industry.
