The Chinese No. 1 trade fairs for wire, cable and tubes were organized jointly by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, Messe Düsseldorf China (Shanghai) and the local partners MC-CCPIT – Metallurgical Council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and SECRI – Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute.
For the first time, exhibitors of fastener technology participated with their own Special Show, the Fastener Shanghai Special Zone, thereby responding to the growing interest taken in the industry. The Special Show was supported by “China Fastener Info”, China’s leading trade publication for the fastener segment.
wire and Tube China 2016 saw 1,645 exhibitors from 31 countries occupy over 43,000 m2 of exhibition space presenting current technologies and latest machinery, plants and products from the wire and cable industries, the tube industry and tube-processing sectors.
Both trade fairs have developed into the No. 1 trade fair events for their respective industries in China. Compared with the successful previous events in 2014, organizers registered further noticeable growth in the number of exhibitors and rented exhibition space. Alongside many Chinese exhibitors the event once again saw country pavilions from Germany, France, Austria, Italy, North America, South Korea, Taiwan and Japan. Packed exhibition halls, many conversations at the stands and the prospect of good follow-up business also made the 7th edition of wire and Tube China in Shanghai a success.
Over the four days of the trade fair in excess of 42,000 trade visitors came to Shanghai. This corresponds to an over 10 % increase in visitor attendance – a new record for the Chinese technology trade fair duo.
From 26–29 September 2018 wire und Tube China will once again be held for the 8th time at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC).
