Dr. Valery Rudnev is the Director of Science & Technology at Inductoheat, Inc., an Inductotherm Group Company. He is considered by many as one of the leading global figures in the induction heating and heat-treating industry. Dr. Rudnev has more than 40 years of experience and is known within the ASM Int’l and among induction heating professionals as “Professor Induction.” Dr. Rudnev has been elected as a Fellow of both: ASM Int’l and International Federation for Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering (IFHTSE). His credits include more than 50 patents and inventions (U.S. and International) and more than 250 engineering/scientific publications.
The Woodside Lecture is named after William P. Woodside, who founded ASM in Detroit in 1913. Woodside also founded Park Chemical in 1911.

ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt has recently awarded the provisional acceptance certificate (PAC) to Primetals Technologies following an extensive modernization of its reversing cold mill in Eisenhüttenstadt, Germany.
