Euroguss: More than 750 exhibitors in four halls

Four packed halls, enthusiastic visitors and satisfied exhibitors – this was the story of Euroguss 2020. 754 exhibitors (641 in 2018) from 36 countries (33 in 2018) showcased the latest trends in technology, innovative processes and new products for the entire die casting supply chain to around 15,000 trade visitors (15,354 in 2018). The 20th International German Die Casting Congress that was held concurrently was also very well attended.

“We are very satisfied with Euroguss 2020. The mood among visitors and exhibitors alike was excellent and we received a lot of very positive feedback. There was particular praise for the quality of the trade visitors. Euroguss is an event that brings together the right people with one another,” says Christopher Boss, Director and International Product Manager of Euroguss. “All the major foundries and their sub-suppliers were represented and covered the sector’s entire capabilities. This is further proof that Euroguss is the No. 1 gathering for the die casting industry.”
The event’s partner associations also describe it as a resounding success. “Euroguss has enjoyed incredibly impressive growth and has now reached an incredibly high standard, despite the current uncertainty in the market. Die casting foundries can look back on three very successful days when they were able to share knowledge, nurture contacts and do good business. Euroguss once again brought together the entire ‘die casting family’,” says Hartmut Fischer, President of the Association of German Die Casting Foundries (VDD). Dr Timo Würz, Secretary General of CEMAFON (European Foundry Equipment Suppliers Association) draws a similar conclusion: “The atmosphere in the exhibition halls was outstanding. Our exhibiting member companies were also very satisfied with their participation and particularly applauded aspects like the quality of the trade visitors, most of whom were in decision-making roles. Euroguss has proven its effectiveness as a platform, despite the difficult market environment at present.”
Satisfied exhibitors and visitors
Of the 754 exhibitors, 56 % came from outside Germany from no less than 36 different countries. The majority were from Europe, primarily Italy, Turkey, Spain, Austria and the Czech Republic.
Exhibitors were satisfied with their participation in Euroguss 2020. It is a fixed date in their calendar, because it brings together the entire European die casting community. “Euroguss is absolutely the right platform for us to showcase our company and reach our target group. This was our first independent trade fair appearance as castwerk. We felt very much at home here and were well looked after. The calibre of the visitors was absolutely spot-on and we had a lot of rewarding discussions. We are impressed by this trade fair and will definitely be back for Euroguss 2022,” explains Michael Schran, Managing Director of castwerk. Peter Reuther, Managing Director of StrikoWestofen, also has positive feedback: “Obviously we also have to consider which trade fairs are worthwhile for us, but Euroguss is always a firm date in our calendar. It will always be the most important die casting exhibition in Europe for us. The aisles were packed, our stand was well frequented and we managed to reach our target group.”
This positive trend is also reflected in the visitor poll. More than 94 % of visitors stated that they were satisfied with what was on offer at Euroguss 2020. The trade visitors came primarily from the automobile industry, machinery and equipment manufacturing, mould making workshops, die casting foundries, electrical and electronics segments, the furniture hardware industry and the energy or medical technology sectors. The top visitor countries included Germany, Italy, Austria, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Spain and Poland.
Impressive supporting programme
Alongside the exhibition, the 20th International German Die Casting Congress took place in NCC Ost and was well attended again this year. The topics of the presentations covered a wide range of issues and were very well received by the trade visitors to Euroguss.
The rest of the supporting programme, such as Speakers’ Corner in Hall 8, was also much appreciated. The exhibition forum offered numerous presentations on Additive Manufacturing, surface technology, and Industry 4.0. This is also where the Euroguss Talent Awards were presented. This award is designed for emerging talent in the die casting industry and was making its debut in 2020.
The next Euroguss will take place from 18 to 20 January 2022 at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg. For further information please visit: www.euroguss.de/international
