A total of 15,651 unique visitors attended Metaltech 2017, and were privy to showcases of the most cutting-edge and modern technology across various industries related to metalworking, machining, robotics and manufacturing. Having inducted a new rebooking programme for exhibitors this year, organizers Tradelink ITE Sdn Bhd have been thrilled by the overwhelming response, with over half of all exhibitors signing agreements to participate in next year’s Metaltech.
“Every year, we try to make Metaltech bigger, better and more effective towards meeting the needs of our exhibitors, buyers and visitors. It is a great validation of our efforts that so many exhibitors have enjoyed successful outings this year and are excited to return. We have already sold close to 55 % of our target exhibition space for next year’s event”, said Chairman of Trade Link ITE, Dato’ Zainal Abidin Haji Ahmad.
Having promised to focus on high-tech manufacturing this year, Metaltech more than lived up to expectations with an enthralling series of seminars focusing on the latest and most futuristic technologies, including topics such as Industry 4.0, the ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) and Smart Factories.
Meanwhile, the highly successful business matching service that premiered in 2016 was another highly successful aspect of Metaltech 2017, while the launch of a new VIP Buyers Club this year also added to the overall appeal of the event, which pulled in an impressive visitor profile that included many influential decision-makers in the private and government sectors alike.
Next year’s Metaltech will be held from 23–26 May 2018 at Putra World Trade Centre and the organizers are looking forward to once again adding more value to the region’s leading exhibition of its kind. “As Asian markets continue to grow more competitive and innovative compared to their Western counterparts, we expect that Metaltech will have the opportunity to not only be a gateway to the latest technologies in Asia, but also to become a globally recognized leading exhibition within the metalworking industry,” added Dato’ Zainal.
