The seminar will broaden the understanding of Industry 4.0, which is gaining popularity also in the world of heat treatment. Hence, not only its title but also the form undergoes changes. The quality of the meeting remains at a consistently high level thanks to the presence of, among others, Professor P. Kula, PhD, Professor L. Maldzinski, PhD, and L. Turowska, Eng. PhD, as well as practitioners, also from abroad. The three-day event gives also a possibility to talk to specialists of the Seco/Warwick company due to the participation of experts in multiple areas, such as nitriding, reduction of deformations in heat treatment, or regulation and control of the annealing processes.
Over 140 science and business experts met during the last year’s, 20th edition of Seco/Warwick Seminar entitled “Modern Trends in Heat Treatment”. The 2-day agenda included lectures and multiple panel discussions focused on the Industry 4.0 concept. There were 14 thematic sessions concerning new quality challenges, efficient production processes, market development and high-end technologies were conducted by renown experts in the industry, representatives of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Lodz University of Technology and Warsaw University of Technology, as well as businessmen.

Closing Conditions erfüllt – Akquise von Betriebsteilen der Buderus Edelstahl GmbH rechtlich vollzogen – Integration in Unternehmensgruppe startet
Nun ist es offiziell: Das Warmwalzwerk für große Walzstahlabmessungen sowie die Mechanische Bearbeitung inklusive der Wärmebehandlung für hochkomplexe Freiformschmiedeteile der Buderus Edelstahl GmbH gehören jetzt zur GMH Gruppe. Die sogenannten „Closing Conditions“ für den Abschluss der Akquise wurden inzwischen erfüllt, die Behörden haben dem Zusammenschluss zugestimmt: damit ist die Übernahme nun auch rechtlich vollzogen.
