Call for papers: Central Eastern European Heat Treatment Forum 2016

The 3rd Central Eastern European Heat Treatment Forum & Exhibition will take place from 20 to 21 April 2016 in Wrocław, Poland. Authors can submit their papers until 31 January 2016.

The 3rd Central Eastern European Heat Treatment Forum & Exhibition will take place from 20 to 21 April 2016 in Wrocław, Poland. Authors can submit their papers until 31 January 2016.
This annual international conference and exhibition of the heat treatment industry in Poland and the Central Eastern Europe was organized first time in 2014 at the specific request of German heat treat companies, mostly AWT or IHT members, interested in developing business relationships with clients in that region. The purpose of the conference is to showcase the most recent trends in the heat treatment industry, to share knowledge and to enable people to network and establish new business contacts. Leading stream next year will be modernization and upgrade of equipment, emission reduction, energy saving, efficiency improvement.  There is a plan to organize during that conference first B2B meetings at the individual requests. Employees of the local heat treatment plants will also get the chance to participate on special easy terms and individual invitations. Several local tooling manufacturers and supplier of the automotive industry plan to participate.  The Global Heat Treatment Network as organizer of the event plans to call at the end of the conference the first annual meeting of the new Polish Heat Treatment Association (Polskie Forum Hartownicze).  Due to the fact that the conference room and exhibition area will be located on the same floor and directly neighbouring, there will be a limited number of exhibition booth available.
Call for papers
The conference program will be selected & defined by the Scientific Committee of the organizer. Authors can submit their papers including title and abstract to: contact@global-heat-treatment-network.com Deadline for submission of all papers is 31 January 2016. The abstract should provide sufficient information to enable the assessment and fair selection, including name and contact details of the author. Uniper und thyssenkrupp Uhde bündeln Kräfte für Schlüsseltechnologie der globalen Wasserstoffwirtschaft

thyssenkrupp Uhde und Uniper gehen eine strategische Partnerschaft ein, um eine zentrale Technologie für den globalen Wasserstoffhandel zur industriellen Reife zu bringen: den großtechnischen Ammoniak-Cracker. In einem Ammoniak-Cracker wird Ammoniak bei hoher Temperatur katalytisch in seine Bestandteile Wasserstoff und Stickstoff zerlegt und anschließend in einer Aufreinigung reiner Wasserstoff erzeugt. Gemeinsam wird hierfür im ersten Schritt eine Demonstrationsanlage mit einer Kapazität von 28 Tonnen Ammoniak pro Tag am Uniper-Standort Gelsenkirchen-Scholven errichtet. Die Anlage wird eine der ersten ihrer Art weltweit sein und soll u. a. als Grundlage für das geplante Wasserstoff-Importterminal in Wilhelmshaven dienen, wo die Technologie großindustriell in einem zweiten Schritt zur Anwendung kommen soll.

Der Salzgitter-Konzern geht den nächsten Schritt zur grünen Stahlherstellung: Die Tochtergesellschaft Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH (SZFG) schreibt die Lieferung von Strom aus Photovoltaik-Freiflächenanlagen im Rahmen eines langfristigen Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) sowie die Errichtung und den Betrieb eines großtechnischen On-Site-Batteriespeichersystems für den Stahlstandort Salzgitter aus.
