The WeldArt World Championship targets participants from six world regions – from North America to Southeast Asia. It serves as stage, message and movement all at once: Creativity, technical skill, design, implementation & safety will be evaluated. Interactive formats like fan and jury voting, live streams and social media campaigns ensure worldwide attention. In addition to IIW, industry partners and digital welding communities support the project.
Messe Düsseldorf provides the perfect international platform for the spectacular finale of the WeldArt World Championship with its new trade fair USE – The Ultimate World of Cutting and Welding – Urban Steel Expo 2027.
WeldArt: Technology meets creativity
WeldArt is the art form of welding – where technology and creativity merge and genuine unique pieces emerge from heat, precision and metal: sculptures, installations and design objects. The focus lies on art with character – far from mechanical engineering.
Championship tour and participation
The WeldArt World Championship starts on November 12 and 13, 2025 in Frankfurt at Urban Steel Rockstars. The final rounds will be held from April 20-23, 2027 at USE in Düsseldorf. Advancement will be decided by, among others, an internationally composed jury consisting of globally renowned welding experts, high-reach content creators with several million followers combined, as well as personalities from TV formats. Participation is open to everyone – from apprentices to experienced welders to creative minds from around the world.
