The higher temperature of 1,100 °C (2,012 °F) facilitates more rigorous testing of new materials used in increasingly compact engine designs. By using electrical power instead of burner technology, the Kanthal flow heater complies with future regulations for workplace health and safety and environmental sustainability, and raises accuracy of test conditions to new levels.
