With this step, the company now offers the most common methods of nitriding, which is the only surface hardening method combining high surface hardness, high compressive stresses and optimal tribological characteristics with lowest distortion.
“The decision to expand our product range was made because of a growing demand from customers appreciating Rübig’s nitriding competence, the professional project management and an optimal customer care. These conveniences will of course also be available for customers in terms of the new gas nitriding systems, which will intensify our partnerships.”, says Thomas Müller, COO of the engineering division.
This rounded product programme ensures nitriding specialist Rübig to master the challenge of delivering a high level of application, process and customer knowledge, combined with a variety of technically and economically optimal solutions. Besides the given mechanical engineering expertise, which Rübig considers a basic requirement, the company will demonstrate longsightedness on the market by taking a closer look on the overall process chain of the customer.
Compared to its latest development plasma nitriding, gas nitriding convinces with thicker compound layers and a relatively high porous zone – two attributes essential in terms of special processes. Furthermore, the usage of controlled atmospheres makes efficient and economical treatment possible. Additionally, nitriding on all the surface areas is possible – even when having dense batches and inside smallest holes. All the areas which should not be nitrided can be masked by cover pastes.
