Sandvik steel belts were first used for conveying applications in 1901 and have since become a standard conveying medium across industries as diverse as oil and gas, chemicals, food and wood-based panels. The company has also developed specialized steel grades with the properties required to cope with high temperature applications including sintering, casting and reduction-based separation of metals from waste:
- Structural stability at high temperature,
- Very good resistance to isothermal and cyclic oxidation,
- Very good resistance to carburization,
- High creep rupture strength.
