Sandvik Process Systems, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of steel belts, will use this year’s GIFA fair to highlight the properties of its specialized steel belt grades and the opportunities for steel belt-based conveying and processing in high temperature applications.
Sandvik steel belts were first used for conveying applications in 1901 and have since become a standard conveying medium across industries as diverse as oil and gas, chemicals, food and wood-based panels. The company has also developed specialized steel grades with the properties required to cope with high temperature applications including sintering, casting and reduction-based separation of metals from waste:
  • Structural stability at high temperature,
  • Very good resistance to isothermal and cyclic oxidation,
  • Very good resistance to carburization,
  • High creep rupture strength.
