A CSO with a vision

“Dr. Luxenburger’s work has been decisive in making Dillinger today’s market leader in the production of super-heavy plate for the offshore wind market. He recognized the signs of the times early on and successfully positioned Dillinger in the market. On behalf of the entire company, I want to thank Dr. Luxenburger for this and wish him all the best for his retirement,” Dr. Karl-Ulrich Köhler said.

Luxenburger, who holds a doctorate in materials science, joined Dillinger in 1990 and served in the following years as division manager for various customer segments. He was named Head of Marketing in 2006 and has been responsible for the Sales and Marketing department since 2008. He was appointed Director of
Sales and Marketing in 2009. During his responsibilities as Chief Sales Officer, Dillinger developed into one of the world’s leading heavy plate manufacturers. Dr. Luxenburger recognized the opportunities in the market for offshore wind power early and played a major role ensuring that 80 percent of the wind turbines at sea are now built on foundations made of steel from Dillinger.
