A mechanical engineer by training, Mr. T. V. Narendran joined Tata Steel after completing his MBA from IIM Calcutta in 1988. Mr. Narendran’s career in Tata Steel has spanned many areas, in India and abroad – including marketing & sales, international trade, supply chain & planning, and operation & general management.
The Board also reappointed Mr. Koushik Chatterje as Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer for a period of five years with effect from 9 November 2017, when his present term expires on 8 November. Mr. Chatterje would report to Mr. Narendran.

Dillinger hat bei der SMS group neue Gusseisen-Staves von Paul Wurth sowie eine Reihe von Kupfer-Staves für Hochofen 5 mit einer Jahresproduktionsmenge von rund 2,5 Millionen Tonnen Roheisen bestellt.
