Taiwan Industry Week 2025: Successful Debut in Taichung Highlights Metal Technology Innovation

Taiwan Industry Week (TIW) 2025 concluded successfully at the Taichung International Exhibition Center on October 16, marking a strategic relocation to Taiwan's manufacturing heartland. The three-day event brought together over 310 exhibitors showcasing more than 5,000 products across 13,000 square meters, attracting approximately 28,000 visitors from more than 60 countries.

Organized by Kaigo Co., Ltd., the event combined four specialized exhibitions under one roof: Taiwan Hardware Show (THS), International Metal Technology Taiwan (iMT Taiwan), Occupational Safety Taiwan (T-SAFE), and Refrigeration & HVAC Taiwan (RHVAC Taiwan).

This integrated format created a comprehensive platform for manufacturing innovation, sustainability, and business development.

International Metal Technology Taiwan (iMT Taiwan): A Decade of Innovation

Now in its 10th edition, iMT Taiwan served as a focal point for professionals seeking innovations across the metal supply chain, materials science, and processing technologies. The exhibition reflected current industry priorities, including sustainability, digital transformation, and advanced manufacturing techniques.

Key exhibitors such as KURITA and TDK presented high-performance metal processing solutions and materials innovations, demonstrating how technological advancement and environmental responsibility are increasingly intertwined in modern metalworking. The exhibition provided visitors with practical insights into next-generation metal technologies applicable to various industrial sectors.

Thematic Focus: ESG and Smart Manufacturing

TIW 2025 emphasized sustainability and intelligent manufacturing through dedicated exhibition zones. The ESG Innovation Hall and specialized areas for Hardware Machinery & Factory Equipment showcased how contemporary manufacturing aligns with environmental, social, and governance principles.

The Knowledge Hub complemented the exhibition floor with seminars and forums addressing critical industry topics, including the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), net-zero strategies, digital transformation, and AI in manufacturing. These sessions connected theoretical concepts with practical business applications, supporting companies in their transition toward more efficient and sustainable operations.

Strong International Participation

The event’s global character was evident through participation from more than 20 international delegation groups representing 10 countries. Notable attendees included representatives from EDRA/GHIN (European retail and hardware federation), Assofermet (Italy), Japan DIY Homecenter Association, and various industrial associations from Indonesia, including GAMMA and INOSHPRO.

Regional partners from Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, India, and Canada contributed to the event’s cross-regional collaboration. The American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and its international chapters from Brazil, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Korea, and Malaysia represented the global HVAC community.

Over 45 media representatives from 21 nations covered the event, including trade publications from France, Germany, India, South Korea, Singapore, and Jordan, ensuring broad international visibility.

Quality of Engagement

According to Alexander Keim, CEO of Kaigo Co., Ltd., the event’s success was measured not only by attendance figures but by the quality of interactions. “At a trade show, it’s not just important that the aisles are full or the seats are occupied during presentations, but beyond that, that exhibitors are having conversations at their booths—and we achieved that,” Keim noted.

More than 80 dedicated business matchmaking sessions facilitated connections between international buyers and suppliers, while the Exhibitor & VIP Night provided an exclusive networking environment for building and strengthening business relationships.

Looking Ahead: Return to Taipei in 2026

With strong participation from Asian markets, the organizers are preparing for further international expansion. “We have many participants from the Asian region. Next year, the event will take place in Taipei. We hope to open it up even more to the international market,” said Keim.

Taiwan Industry Week 2026 is scheduled for October 20-22 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, continuing the event’s mission to connect global industries and promote innovation in manufacturing.

Conclusion

Taiwan Industry Week 2025’s debut in Taichung successfully demonstrated the viability of hosting this industrial event in Taiwan’s central manufacturing region. The combination of specialized exhibitions, knowledge-sharing programs, and international networking created a comprehensive platform for industry professionals seeking practical solutions in metal technology, hardware, safety, and HVAC sectors.

The focus on sustainability, smart manufacturing, and ESG principles reflected current global priorities while maintaining practical relevance for exhibitors and visitors. As the event returns to Taipei in 2026, it continues to evolve as a significant platform for international collaboration in the manufacturing sector.
