May 2024 | Heikki Malinen, President and CEO of Outokumpu, has decided to leave the company to pursue a career opportunity outside the company.

“I would like to thank Heikki very much for all the successes over the last four years. Under Heikki’s leadership, Outokumpu has transformed into a company with the strongest balance sheet in the industry, and the return to dividend payment has been notable. A solid foundation has been laid, the core of the company is strong and Outokumpu is ready for the next phase of growth. I wish Heikki all the best for the next step in his career,” said Kari Jordan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Outokumpu Corporation.

Today we are recognized as a leader in sustainability, with strong credentials in safety, carbon emissions and diversity. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Board of Directors, my colleagues in the management team and our committed employees worldwide for everything we have achieved,” said Heikki Malinen on his departure from the company.
