Instead of sending you a small gift as in previous years, Vulkan Verlag has decided this year to do good locally in Essen in the spirit of sustainability. Instead of the usual treats or Advent calendars, we made a donation to the Essen Parents’ Initiative for the Support of Children with Cancer. The idea of the association was and still is that parents who have been affected in the past provide support to acutely affected parents and children. Above all, it offers accommodation in the immediate vicinity of the Essen University Hospital for families with the affected child who do not come from Essen.
