Innovative sensor technologies from JUMO
The temperature sensors from JUMO continuously monitor the temperature of critical components such as motors, brakes and axle bearings. By detecting overheating at an early stage, maintenance measures can be initiated in good time and unplanned downtimes can be avoided. This extends the service life of the components and increases operational safety. For example, JUMO will be presenting the JUMO railTEMP, a new generation of wheelset probes, at the trade fair.
Pressure sensors are essential for monitoring and controlling pneumatic and hydraulic systems in rail vehicles. They ensure the safe and reliable functioning of brake pressure systems and monitor the pressure conditions in air conditioning systems and hydraulic lifting systems. The new JUMO hydroTRANS, an intelligent temperature and humidity sensor with optional CO2 module, is also used in the air conditioning of rail vehicles and can be extensively tested at the trade fair stand.
Level sensors from JUMO ensure precise monitoring of liquid levels in various containers and tanks, such as fuel tanks, coolant tanks and waste water tanks. Accurate level measurement ensures that sufficient operating fluids are always available and that maintenance requirements are detected in good time. This increases the reliability and efficiency of vehicle operation. Examples include the JUMO NESOS R01 LS float switch and the JUMO ZELOS C01 LS capacitive level indicator.
