Fives North American Combustion is hosting a three-day, hands-on Combustion & Controls Seminar in Cleveland, Ohio, from October 13–15, 2026, preceded by a welcome reception on October 12.

Aimed at engineers, maintenance technicians, and equipment operators, the program combines classroom instruction on combustion fundamentals, heat transfer, system components, controls, decarbonization, and emissions with practical training in the company’s R&D laboratory and breakout sessions with industry experts.
Participants receive daily lunch as well as learning materials, including the North American Combustion Handbook Vol. I & II and an NFPA 86 Handbook.

On top of that came the duties on steel imported to the USA. Europe had to act, and it did, through safeguard measures and CBAM fees. This is affecting the development of steel supply and the selling prices of steel products in an artificial way. It’s not the balance of supply and demand that defines the market; it’s politics.
