Hot Shots: Charging a round melting furnace in action
Gautschi round melting furnaces accommodating a load of of up to 140 t are recognized for their very high melting capacity – up to 40 t/h – and their low energy consumption. After charging, the furnace roof closes and the melting cycle runs at a ceiling temperature of 1,100 °C.
