Am 03. Februar 2026 gaben die Trimet Aluminium SE und die Iqony Fernwärme GmbH den Startschuss für die Einspeisung industrieller Abwärme der Essener Aluminiumhütte in das Fernwärmenetz von Iqony.
Die Weiterverarbeitungsgesellschaften der Saarstahl-Gruppe (Saarstahl Aktiengesellschaft), die im Saarland beheimatet sind, werden zukünftig gemeinsam unter der Traditionsmarke „Saarstahl“ auftreten. Die vier Gesellschaften tragen nun alle den Namen „Saarstahl Precision“, der durch einen beschreibenden, produktspezifischen Zusatz im Firmennamen ergänzt wird.
