voestalpine opens new production facility in Indiana, USA
As reported, voestalpine has doubled its production capacity at its Jeffersonville site in Indiana, USA.
Hot Shots: High speed loop laying head with pinch roll system
The wire rings are laying down to the loop cooling conveyor with a finishing speed of max. 100 m/s and temperatures from 700 to 1,000 °C. This system is capable of producing 16.6 km of wire rod in less than 3 min.
