Under the verbal umbrella of “Industry 4.0” more and more, sometimes even a bit confusing information can be found. This abstract was given as a presentation on ITPS Americas in August 2016 in Chicago and wants to support those, who are in the process of orientation what the whole subject is about and what a specific industry – the thermoprocess industry – could do from their perspective.
