The basic concept remains unchanged: an introductory examination of the fundamentals of the induction process, a description of system hardware and a discussion of melting technology are followed by detailed concentration on the metallurgical process-engineering of induction facilities for melting, temperature maintenance and casting. Particular attention is devoted, among the developments of the past five years, to the intricacies of the ongoing CO₂ controversy and to the recovery and utilisation of waste heat.
